Ex-Rangers star Josh Windass hailed as ‘a crackpot but a really good lad’ by former Ibrox striker Andy Little

FORMER Rangers striker Andy Little has wished Josh Windass well.. as he hailed him as a ‘crackpot’. The 24-year-old last night quit Gers to join English Championship side Wigan in a £2.5 million deal. Windass joined Wigan after two years at RangersPA:Press Association Windass – despite netting 18 goals across all competitions last season – came under scrutiny from Ibrox supporters at times. But Little believes he had more to show for the Light Blues as he praised him for his efforts over his two-year spell. The 29-year-old – who has played for Port Vale, Preston, Blackpool and Accrington Stanley – joked that he had warned the Buckshaw residents about his arrival. Speaking on Twitter, he said: “Sad to see Josh Windass leave Glasgow – a crackpot but a really good lad. Still think he had plenty more to show at RFC but be proud of your time here pal.
